I lived in a neighborhood much like this in Los Angeles of all places, and while the much lower density mountain west suburb I'm in now has its charms, I miss that place in LA.
I would be perfectly happy with every city in the country being as dense as Evanston, IL. A suburb denser than nearly every city. If you’d like to be pedantic, this could be Forest Hills Queens or Brooklyn Heightsz
If you’re thought process after NYC leadership could barely add 80k homes and this country just elected its NIMBYiest president is to show very high density housing and call it the ideal neighborhood, then we have a major difference in how we approach things. Have a good night.
