Not as many people can afford to do a general strike. Start with organizing something like this first. Then use that momentum into a general strike. There's too much apathy abound.
I hear you. Frankly, IDGAF about sportsball, but this is going to require real, tangible direct action. Protesting a sporting event is as effective as tossing a paper plane at a tank.
Okay... realistically, how many people do you believe WILL boycott it?
You would be lucky if 2% does.
Look, everyone has to do something. I would love to see it all crash and burn myself. But we have to be smarter than this. Civil disobedience is more effective. Look at Serbia now.
You think that it is easier to organize more people to get up and out on the streets protesting and doing sit ins than it would be to turn off the TV?? I genuinely don't understand how.
I'm just looking at the history of boycotting the Super Bowl. It didn't work the last time the orange mushroom was in office, it won't work now. I'm just saying focus on protecting those being harmed and mutual aid is more beneficial.
It's not the first time it was suggested, and completely failed

What do you think the corporations would do if you Republicans made them waste $20B??
How easy it is to organize that protest? The infrastructure from that alone would be worth it.
