I think a Vote Blue No Matter Who approach does risk complacency regarding the Democratic party in general, and shouldn't be raised as a principle during primaries (where it's meaningless).

I mean, IME it’s the “vote blue no matter who” people who need to hear this. Of course, they are also fully convinced that political engagement begins and ends with choosing either a democrat or a not-democrat and nothing else.
