If there were an xG-style stat for conceding from errors (I’ve no idea how that would look or be calculated), United would be top by miles. One bad touch, one lapse, one misread - and boom, goal. Every mistake feels fatal.

It’s felt like that for a few seasons now. Exacerbated by the fact we score so few goals so our games are always on a knife’s edge.

We have been so poor in front of goal all season I really hoped that would start to click today. But then seeing Maguire be put on as a striker for the last few minutes I knew I was out to lunch 🤦‍♂️

We’ve not created any chances for a lot of the season… so at least we’re getting some shots away now. Every cloud and all that.
