More about the childhood nostalgia for me, but my love for the game was rekindled a couple years ago when randomizers were all the rage

It's a series of light SRPGs in various settings usually based around political intrigue and involving different kinds of sealed evil. It's a spin off from it's more TRPG origin, Langrisser also known as Warsong
Also, plug in any Final Fantasy in front of me and I am completely content.

I also get the itch to play portal from time to time, never gets old.
Solo: Probably Witcher 3. Games within games always get me and the call of Gwent is too strong to ignore
I've also got an ungodly amount of hours in Metal Gear Ac!d 2 and Portable Ops Plus.
There are others but this one is currently at the top of the list.
It's hard to pick one between those.

Haven't played DKC2 myself, but it's been on the gaming to-do list for a while.
The worst part about them is the 48 character password you need to type in to carry your save data from one game to the next.
