How do you feel about using Photoshop these days? I moved over to Clip Studio Paint a long time ago and mostly use Photoshop only to edit photos for work these days. Would you still recommend it to new artists or feel there are things Photoshop does better than other programs?

Next to my Cintiq, my Photoshop subscription is my most expensive art tool. I’m not happy with the push Adobe is doing towards AI garbage and I think they could lower the subscription price.I get a slight discount since I’m considered an educator(teach art class to the kiddies after school…)

(with the city). I mean there’s the whole being the industry standard part-I put that I use it on my resume for the hopeful day I can luck out and do graphic design full time. I think though Adobe needs to do more and recognize the artist and general creative community

If they don’t CSP and other apps are going to come and start nipping at Adobe’s heels. I’m sure you remember there was a time when it was you either had a Wacom or you had nothing for digital art. Now, we got XP-Pen(I’m looking at getting one for a con in Trinidad my cousins told me about 🤞🏾)…

Huion, Xencelabs, Gaomon and a bunch of others! I tell my kids in the drawing class now is the best time to get into digital art as the tools and software you don’t have the break the bank you get. But Adobe hasn’t gotten that memo…

I’ve turned over the idea of switching over to CSP. I’d just have to sit down and make my custom patterns into images or figure out how to make CSP patterns, and I’ve read that you can install Photoshop ABR brushes in CSP…but leaving Photoshop…I’ve been using it since version 7.0…
