Marc, many are doing what you suggest on your list. I’ve protested, joined Indivisible, done pro bono work. But while you’re correct about Trump’s fear of elections, in a perverse way, he actually enjoys the protests against him. As JD Pritzker recently said, isn’t it time to move to disruption?

There are many great indy sources of news but I can only afford subs to a couple. I rely on the flow of free information. Most people aren’t willing or able to spend the time searching for information so they’re instead fed a stream of algorithmic curated info.

#9 Stay Engaged is the one I worry about the most.

Society right now has a short attention span and people only care when it affects them directly and negativity. Empathy drain is real and it is so hard to remain engaged when real life distractions are so prevalent. I will stay engaged!

We have no power without the e military and law enforcement willing to honor their oaths. The courts can make all the decisions they want. It law enforcement doesn’t start arresting the traitors, we are all going to be punished by Trump.

I want to emphasize the “run for something” part. People underestimate how important local politics is in a time like this and overestimate how difficult it is to make a difference in local races or to even win a race. Sometimes all it takes is showing up and volunteering.
