Yeah I'm also talking about it in a metaphorical sense. If you can't afford the "board" you'll inevitably get swept up in the tide. For me, "the board" is proper mental healthcare

True enough. But that’s why participating in politics and getting the message out is so important. You don’t have to really surf. You can help polish the board or just cheer on the people surfing for you you know.
