I don't believe that for one minute he won't give them even 1 pence. Farage is a con man and liar will say anything to be popular. He could care less about the poor.
Bullshit 'policy' con that will deceive many working class people. The wealthy paying what sounds like a lot of money and that money goes to the low-paid? Brilliant right? Except the net result is that the wealthy will pay less overall and the poor will be left worse off. Utter con-artist trickery
Looks and sounds like a 'Robin Hood' style wealth tax, but is in reality a tax cut for the ultra-wealthy which will cause more cuts to public services. How many one-off £250k fees will need to be collected to impact the finances of the poorest paid working people in the UK?
Remember this is a one-off £250k fee not an annual charge. There are circa 2 million people in the UK earning on or below minimum wage. We'd have to collect the one-off £250k fee from 8000 non-dom millionaires to give those low-paid workers £1000 each, just once.
Muhammad Ziauddin Yusuf wasn't talking (on #WAO R4) about those 'earning on or below minimum wage', but hardworking nurses, or in other words what they deem to be the 'deserving poor'
