I’d still say the same. I volunteered at PBS years ago. They didn’t have that then. And shouldn’t now if they receive government funds, although their budget is only 15% government. CBC almost whole operating budget is government funding. It breeds corruption

I bet they did have this mission statement all the way back then too, and you just proven the earlier point that your feelings towards CBC is tainting the opinion on PBS/NPR. It almost feels like moving the goalposts to try and make this stick.

That's for Canada to figure out, and if it is being pushed towards a state ran media type thing, then push for it.

But there is obvious bias in your discussion on this and it stems from CBC.

But it isn't within PBS/NPR. You are taking your opinions/feelings on CBC and trying to fit PBS into said mold as well.
