I got asked to guest edit an academic journal that charges a nearly $2k processing fee per article. I was going to say no because I’m busy - but I also think that’s a horrible policy (I’m in the Humanities and I’ve never seen it done in reputable journals, but I know STEM journals increasingly do?).
