Yeah, it's hard to let yourself be bad at things when you are used to being good at them. I learned french pretty quickly as a kid but dutch is proving near impossible to learn now I'm old.

Yeah that part. I used to accidentally pick up languages. I spoke Gaelic five years before I ever set foot in Ireland.
Now I’m just a clusterfuck of linguistic mistakes.
I’ve made peace with it tho, which helps
