Obtaining temperature targets in range 1.5-2C without any cdr or ccs is at least «trivial» in en-roads. Of course you need to ramp down that assumed economic growth and let afforestation do a solid job.

I find it very helpful to play around with the EN-ROADS simulator. It's quite trivial to obtain a scenario close to Paris-agreement, without any use of CDR (or CCS). Like the scenario linked. Of course this is a simplified IAM, but it's instructive. en-roads.climateinteractive.org/scenario.htm...
