A final thought:

This is not my first time being kettled and detained along with an entire rest of a protest.

In my experience, this tactic, if not to actually arrest, is to gather information on protesters.

Unsure what will happen to those tonight but I'll be keeping my eye out for updates.

Usually the DA can't really press charges because the kettling brings in too many people. I was in a kettle in front of the Federal building that swept up a couple on their 50th wedding anniversary that happened to turn the corner at the wrong time and a Kindergarten teacher on her way to work.

But they won't dismiss the charges. They will "discharge" them which means they can reinstate them within 6 months. So if you get picked up on your own that will likely get tacked on.
