I sadly don't have time to respond to you all, but I really appreciate it.
If you share the same experience, good for you! It must've been a pleasant surprise. If you haven't, don't be sad. I'm sure you'll be able to experience the joy soon. :D
However there are also many artists who are way better than me, and I made peace with that fact. Right now I am actually pretty confident in my drawing skills! (unlike my past self who couldn't draw a stick figure. π )
I can't even get a comment, and none of my posts have even reached 20 likes.
Meanwhile, everyone else talks about how they get so many likes and follows here compared to Twitter. Why isn't this happening to me?
Even looking at big people, they arn't getting as much likes. The people you are referring to are more likely saying that there arn't as much 'bots' around here, but more 'people'.
So far I have multiple streamers, artists, archivists etc. follow me for some reason. Many of them are mass-follows (probably to launch themselves into BlackSpace from there). Only a select few aren't.
I had that with a few content creators I like and amazing artists on Twitter. It was the best feeling ever and they're all so nice overall. I hope they'll also hop on Bluesky soon
Sadly I don't like to post a lot of my drawings or anything for the matter (mainly in fear of AI stealing my hardwork), so I never got the chance to build my following to experience that lol
A lot of people have told me AI can bypass this now as well as removing your watermark from your work. Thank you for the suggestion though !! πβ¨οΈ
I heard hashtags actually work, try using them on your posts!
It's also important to note that the hardest step on social media is the start, where you don't have much followers. In platforms like Bluesky getting your art reposted by others is the key for visibility in ky experience.
Also (sadly) if you draw original content, and not fanarts of things with a large fanbase, it's hard to get as much attention, even if you're talented at it. π
If you want to pursue original content, try adding gimmicks. Something that'll make people have a good smile or laugh.
not exactly, but I got two of these organizations following me and I'm just thinking "they're gonna be disappointed in my pessimism-to-determination ratio but sure they can see my shitposting if they want"

Wouldn't that well-known person see that?
If anything they'd feel great since that means the guy who got the follow appreciated their follow so much that they wanted to share it to the world.
It happened today actually
I appreciate your follow though! thank you so much.
"but that's clearly a penguin"
I noticed the o and l being too close but didn't bother to fix because I did not think this would pop this much...

Things are going a little better now. β¨ A slight improvement is still an improvement. π

Or do you mean making a whole new post with the same content altogether?
Looking at everyone else I also don't think the majority of the people here are getting more likes either. It's probably because not everyone moved.
Also the Kanarmy shall stand triumphant. o7
