Yeah, I live in Hampshire & only made it to 10 games last season but I valued the security of knowing I had a seat when I wanted one; and priority for playoffs tickets. I'm hoping they'll introduce a regular spare seat marketplace so someone can have the seat when I'm not using it. - ThreadSky

It's a bit annoying they don't do that. A group of us were looking at buying a couple of season tickets between 5-6 of us but it is (or was) impossible to transfer between us

They do it for the family zone I think; and they did it for all ST holders for a couple of games late on last season when they were expecting a sell out.

Only a matter of time before they start rescinding tickets if you don’t attend 80% of games. Loads of prem teams do this now.

If they do that I'll have to give mine up. No way I can get to every game. For example, there's no connecting train home from Reading after an evening game. I thought the Family Zone ticket exchange was introduced in recognition that many children can't go to every game?

If it ever came to it would be able to assist with use - we operate a bit of an unofficial ticket exchange anyway as most of our group can’t make every game

I think it would not work without a ticket resale site. As long as your ST gets scanned it counts so sharing it per @kedwondo or reselling still leaves you in control. To @pudsey point, they would do it so others on waiting list get a chance, no empty seats and resell for profit…..

At present, the club relies on ST money as it gives a big boost to the coffers in the summer and its guaranteed income. If we went up and stayed up, it may change as the TV money outstrips ticket money.
But I can't see the club changing much for now.

It's mainly the big PL clubs that have worked out they can make more money selling match tickets (and also shit loads of merchandise) to "day trippers." They want to buy the ticket back for £40 and package it up and flog it for £400!
Not something we need to worry about just yet!
