This letter is gutting me. I wasn't very familiar with Rowan at all until this happened, but reading this letter is like looking in a mirror, and I wish so hard I could have known them.

I know it's horrible to say but, as someone who's also had daily suicidal ideation since I was a kid, I feel relieved for them to have finally found peace, and then envious that they had the courage, and then guilty that I even had that thought.

I hope the world is someday as nice as Rowan wanted

I dont know who rowan is. Im an outsider looking in on a situation i do not deserve to witness. Still, i understand why she did it. She writes with hope, despite the despair. She asked us to make the world better, and despite all the shit going on i do think one day we’ll do it.

I always looked up to & loved Rowan and I am heartbroken. I understand the horrors and the feelings in their letter but it doesn’t make the pain hurt any less.

I hope she has everything she wants wherever death has her. May they hurt no longer and may they haunt the shit out of whomever they want.

I...can't believe I missed the post 5 days ago. But... beyond the shock, I just am so sad that they bore so much pain and dismay. They were such a delight when we met, played a little FF14, and I just...saw how much they cared about those around them being treated well. I looked up to that so much.

thank you for sharing. this was difficult to read but it sort of gives me closure and understanding. I suspect she felt the way she describes in this note and it in a selfish way it helps to understand.
