I put more treats out for the #birds.
Boog, the Brindle colored Oriole, loves grapes.

One of my most exciting birding days at my feeders was when I finally attracted one during migration here in NC. It took 3 or 4 years of trying.
What a long journey they take!!
I loved living in Chicago & need to send a friend there a feeder for his new place. Now I know which one I’m sending.
I put oranges out, grapes, even grape jelly ( a hint from a neighbor)
They sit on it, don’t touch it and leave.
Why?
This year I only used birdcam and they came to it the first day I put an orange out.
It's not the feeder.
It’s in a hanging oriole feeder, which apparently is attractive to them, since they did land on it.
I change the food, so it’s fresh.
Idk, strange little birds
But there's no mistaking Boog.
Seeing them up close like this makes me feel better, no matter what the day brings. Thank you so much for posting them.
