1/ Wow. Apparently the administration has decided NOT to ignore court orders - at least this one, at least for now - and, also wow, is forcing a speedy appellate process. It's trying to, anyway. I predict a quick anti-impoundment affirmation by DC Cir and S.Ct.

2/ is whether the Supreme Court will force the continuation of the separation of powers - requiring dramatic action and a ditching of the bizarre unitary-executive theory - or instead expand the doctrine to dissolve the separation of powers. A binary choice for them.

Trump is only able to "assault the rule of law" now, because our justice system refused to uphold it in the past. Trump has been a criminal his entire adult life, but I guess law enforcement was too busy kneeling on the necks of minorities to notice.

Very enlightening about ABA having no power over lawyers. Most State bar recommends action against bad actors to State court. Would be nice to have a US map showing how each state handles disbarment.
