It is impossible to wage a long war with Russia, he added, referring to Russia's 21-year war with Sweden in the 18th century as proof that the country wins in protracted battles.

Same old tired bullshit kremlin talking points. The absolute cheek of russians to claim 'brotherhood' too. If you know anything abouy history, at best, they're the spoiled, entitled rotten grandchildren of Ukraine who believe they're due an inheritance and have already stolen the silverware. Fuck em
If this is a case, there is then no point to seek for negociation since russia is persuaded to win in the long run. So let's prepare for a long war and see who wins
that was when RU mil-strength was comparable to its opponents.. now RU has only nukes ("immunity") & oil/gas ("$$$").. no semiconductors & high-tech.. imports tech from iran.. weapons from NKR.. & components from CHN.. neutralize its nukes (real NATO w/o Trump) & really block oil/gas -> finished!!
I am ready also. Doesn't mean I can. Russian government may be ready, but Russian economy cannot. Russia is up against a much stronger enemy (Ukraine + EU + others). They will lose this one.
I did a bit of searching, and we have the Livonian War (1558–1583), very much like the invasion that Putin has done in Ukraine. Ivan the Terrible invaded the Livonian Confederation, trying to get a quick win and ending up losing. There's also the Polish–Muscovite War (1609–1618). He's cherry picking
A war fought with muskets and cannons has no comparison with today's warfare and weapons. Damage deep inside Russia was not possible back then. Now, nowhere in Russia is safe.
Holland fought an 80 year war against the Spanish, the superpower in that time 15/16th century. It ended with Spain being forced to recognize us as independent. Go f yourself Russia. How did Afghanistan go for you?
