The Glastonbury trip ended around '95. It's nothing more than a corporate, Establishment controlled money-spinner; - bands wanting 'street cred' should boycott the whole sad fiasco. Most won't of course because they are, essentially, Establishment enablers. ๐คฎ
The circus sums up the capitalist system in a nutshell. The double fence symbolised the end of it for me. Once the police (now private security firms too), tv cameras were granted entry and the mobile phone culture took hold with the on-line, I.D. dependant ticketing controls ruined it. ๐ณ๐ฅฒ
At least you got to experience great acts like Hawkwind. I had to make do with the likes of primal scream and the orb ๐ญ
