I agree, when the Government started using taxes in the 1970s to help reduce smokers it worked. We are at the point where most smokers are long term addicts and will buy illegally to avoid tax where they can.. We shouldn't have illegal Tobacco.

Reduce the tax on cigarettes, legalise marijuana for people over 21 and Tax it. The Government is addicted to Tobacco Taxes.

I get what your saying , but i disagree . Ban smoking 5 year grace make patches free gum free treatment invest in it and after that ban , public health will increase lowering stress on hospitals,iv watched ppl i love wither away due to smoking kicked the habbit myself 10 yrs ago

I detest smoking, nagged my parents to quit as a kid..Banning it won't work as it would be sold by criminals. Taxing it too much opens the market for Criminils. Taxes worked and greatly reduced the number of smokers..Find the middle ground..They are taxed too much. Reduce the taxes.

The money spent on cancer treatment and other health related issues from smoking is huge , public spending on these will go up if smoking is cheaper , the money has to come from somewhere , weed who cares make it legal no big .smoking is a awful thing that should be illegal like any addictive and..
