Not totally the point of your article, but the top 10% income is sig. higher than stated in your article, which likely means that there are fewer Black people in that 10%, making the disparity btwn the # of Black ppl causing the issue and feeling the impact much larger
This is how it's going to be going forward. The wealthy who created the problem will protect themselves and the poor will suffer. They'll move to higher ground and crank up their energy use to keep themselves cool while people die of heat prostration.
The Johnstown flood was caused by rich people who owned a dam that was built to start an exclusive hunting, and fishing club. They were told the dam was unsafe, and ignored it.
