This isn't "self-inflicted" in the sense that, we didn't create patriarchy. it's existed forever. But we damn sure support, defend, and reinforce it. So the complaints about it ALSO being harmful to us are OUR responsibility to fix, just like racism is yt people's problem to fix.

Some of us have demons we too cowardly to face. It's much easier to call our cowardice "masculinity" and then act like everyone who ain't swallowing their feelings is the real coward. Don't kill yourself listening to the men committing the most cowardly of suicides, dying slowly from held in trauma.

I agree with Ryse. I’ve encountered men that expressed that they can’t share their feelings. When I encouraged them to do so with me Or to start somewhere with ending that cycle. They refused.

It’s crazy and I won’t even hold you if I felt how they felt I wouldn’t tell the internet cuz the internet can’t fix it.. I think it also stems from some men not being themselves when they meet someone and have to play a role constantly. My mom was the only woman to ever tell me man up
