My whole 56 yrs of life, I've been told we can't rely on Soc Sec. Watching my G-Parents pensions be lost, I believed them. We were always told, 401Ks are better than pensions. You can't lose them. Just be smart in your investments. 2X as an adult, I've seen that dwindle away due to GOP Presidents.
