Fascinating concept hinting at trading journeys of the past. One needs upteen lifetimes to do justice to what one can experience and draw. Is it something dear to your heart? I'd love to draw more widely to reflect our collective connection with the heritage of so many wonderful landscapes.
I love your drawings and guides. I wondered if the antiquity of this route might have drawn you in. I am an archaeologist by training and a lover of chalk geology, so that's what fires me up to walk this ancient route.
Apologies, unrelated, but re: Hefted and Nan Bield Pass. A fave of mine too. I call the shelter: the Devil's Chair. Does it have a known provenance? Both "chair" and pass. Last there, I saw no one all day till I stopped. Guy from other direction said same. Saw no one all the way back to Kentmere too
