Red crowns really have that scratchy chainsaw voice, but the yellow headeds have a beautiful lilting sing song, amusing voice. They were in the tree about 12 feet away from where I sleep.

Encountered 2 red-crowned parrots on the walk last night, as a flock of 37(!!!) flew overhead later on.

Just love these noisy, boisterous neighbors, always glad to see them.

Very cool I need to head out to East County where the larger groups are but here at the beach, not quite as many, and there is lots of competition for nests.

It was getting close to sunset, and they were flying west.

I always see these guys flying west late afternoon.

I'm north a few blocks of both, and while I do see them there occasionally, they were flying straight due west from me.
