Tax the churches indeed. My mom oversaw the finances at a large church for 50 yrs. Last time I saw her I said the same thing. She didn’t argue. She’s a democrat in an all white town. I think she agrees because one of her Sunday school biddies confirmed their eating the pets. Mom almost fell out. 😂
Yes - especially employment taxes. Too many church/nonprofit employees find out too late that they have no ability to collect SSDI if they become disabled.

I see us, the public, talk about this all the time. Have you heard any serious talk from any politicians on this? It's way past time to make this happen!
This resolution about taxing non-profits (H.R. 9495) in the guise of being an anti-terrorism bill is scary. It's feared that it may be used against any non-profit that stands up to trump. If that's the case, it better include churches. Some churches are in fact terrorist groups. I think it passed.
