This is helpful for phobias and PTSD triggers- when people actually take the time to alt text. (This is also why it is actually better not to write triggers like sp*ders- I muted spiders. I didn’t mute every permutation you might use to censor it.)

It’s just a compassionate human thing to do to be an ally to disabled folks, folks with phobias, traumatized folks, which explains why so few people are willing to do it.

Some of you have a kneejerk hatred of vulnerable people that you should probably work out. Preferably not in my mentions.

PS. Label your lewds and nudes. This not only helps those of us who are triggered by them, it helps folks who just don’t want to be jumpscared by anybody’s junk in public, at work, with their kids.

For people like me that sometimes have trouble remembering, you can go to your settings, click accessibility and then enable "Require alt text before posting" which will force you to add it before you can hit reply/post if there is an image.
