I guess I'd say it's similar to cleaning a larger pan. Easiest in an empty sink. The inside is completely nonstick and when I wipe down the outside, a wet paper towel usually does the trick. Since the batter doesn't come out the sides, I really don't find it messy overall.
First waffles came out better than any waffles I’ve made in years. A bit of an overfill issue on the first one — the special cup had fallen out of the box onto the floor and I didn’t give the instructions manual even a glance. “Makes 4 waffles” made one and a half, but they were great.
Yes! Comes with a measuring cup and you pour the batter in from the top. A little awkward the first few times you do it, but by the fourth time you're a pro.
