Police are reselling their SIG Sauer P320 pistols — alleged in multiple lawsuits to fire without the trigger being pulled — to the public.

Y’all be safe out there.
A gun should only go off if the owner wants it to. Now that second part is a different issue. Six months ago I'd say nobody should have a gun. Now though, I think the opposite.
Squib is diff than a jam.
Ive carried Sigs in the past, but can't recommend them for anyone. Sig has handled this whole issue horribly.
It should have been recalled and repaired. It's ultimately about the gun lobby making sure that they have ZERO RESPONSIBILITY when accidental deaths occur.
Think if this was Honda or Chevy...
Nobody shoots like the US army. 😂
Then again with Hegseth, If they stamp "warfighter" on it, it's a done deal. 😂
It's a problem.
sounds more like the excuse they used to "accidentally" murder people was used so much that now it stuck and they dgaf.
Departments are getting rid of them for a reason. If it discharges because the pin misfires it’s a danger to them more than any civilian.
Holsters point down and inward. More likely to shoot a cop in the leg.
Your bad day would only get worse.
Those weapons should be destroyed.
Absolutely...
what should be expected when we elect a criminal as president
The police pulled the trigger but used the “it went off” excuse when they noticed the skewed statistics involving the number of brown people being shot.
But they are not bothered with civilians doing the same thing.
I'll take the frame and sight though.
Fuck you.
It would be unwise as a citizen, for many reasons, to buy this gun.
There are many others that are fine. Do you research before buying a gun.
More importantly, go try them at a range. Everyone's hands are different. You need to feel it.
Really hoping sig gets its figured out before I have to drop money on something else.
I have a FN509 which always gets me approached by ROs asking if its a 320 since they look similar I guess.
Money is the answer.
That, and stupidity.
Melt them down.
The Army version has a safety the stock version does not and also its already been recalled once.
C.Y.A. for the po-po; ya'onya'own, public.
You just can't sue them for how someone uses their properly-functioning product.

Have they sued the manufacturer for the defects? to get their money back?
Selling to the public will lead to many deaths.
Sounds like bullshit to me.
Gun goes off in the hands of the public and kills someone:
Cops: See, now you can't do that
