Also interesting that the Farage question leads to Starmer's biggest score. That's the polarisation Labour strategists are hoping for in a Lab vs Reform election.

What they're not taking into account is that in seats up and down the country Reform won't be a threat so people will vote Green instead and oust lots of Labour MPs... Especially if the Greens can elect a charismatic leader
I'd love to put the 4% of Lib Dem voters who prefer Farage and the 4% of Reform voters who prefer Davey in a room together and just see what's going on there.
to me the only way out is to take on Farage with all they have ... wonder who in the party wants to do this, we saw Kemi is never doing this after saying what Israel is doing is protecting us ... Is a Cleverley able to take that fight on and almost ignore Lab for now ?
I agree with you, Starmer was unpopular before the last general election. The media & gutter press had him in their cross hairs, Starmer & his ministers naively handed them the ammunition, the free suits sunglasses & concert tickets furore, the botched OAP WFA & not lifting the Tory two child cap
He is a disaster of a PM, no vision or purpose. Very disappointing when he has a huge majority and can make change happen but in key areas like poverty he is doing the opposite
What I cannot understand is why so many conservatives never seem to acknowledge or mention the threat from lib dems. They cannot accept some of their previous supporters were more moderate. They want to think lib dem popularity is a fluke which will soon subside.
The fact that Badenoch cannot get more than 60% of her *own alleged voters* to actively prefer her in any match up other than Kier Starmer (where she still doesn't hit 70%!) suggests she needs to find a new calling
Though if I were a Conservative, rummaging in the ashes for a few glimmers of hope, I'd be struck that every group except Reform voters picks Badenoch over Farage by huge margins. It's a reminder that Farage remains utterly toxic for very large swathes of voters. This is not a "big tent" politician.
I am sure there are some Tory voters (who voted Remain) who would vote tactically to keep Farage out of Downing Street even if that means voting Lib Dem or Labour

That is why they are so fucked.

Reagan Democrats were still considered 'lost Democrats' that might be won back over, even after they'd been 'lost' for 5+ general election cycles.
"Son, those are ex-Dems/now-Republicans."
Not sure why Sam’s feed would suggest he’s popular (absolutely no judgment in this) and mine doesn’t.
Maybe my feed is a bit more far left and his is centre/centre-left 🤷♂️
That’s like being an overly aggressive fan of the Kinneir and Calvert Transport font used on road signs.
He’s basically recognising as having skill but at the same time is demonstrating an ability to really fuck off his own side.
A poll showing he'd win against every other person as PM is being popular!
You should see the level of annoyance when you point out that Labour isn't the same as Reform, no matter how many tines some people say it is
