I just think it's sort of amusing that Marner can't generate any points at 5v5 while skating with the best offensive talent on the planet and has been relegated to 4th line checker/PK specialist.

Basically the same thing that happens every playoffs.

he was used as a defensive presence on the top lines in the first two games and excelled in the role and then gets crap ice time in one game while cooper rides his boys and the three players on the team who are easily better than him. It's nothing that means anything

I mean, Reinhart is a considerably superior defensive presence.

The fact McDavid was given a top goal scorer and top passer - who are both elite defenders - as his linemates and just does everything himself is peak hilarity to me tbh.
