Octopuses are the closest thing to aliens on Earth and I am fully convinced that they would not hesitate to eat us the same way we willingly eat them shortly the tables have been turned.
It's especially astonishing given most octopus species live for a few years at most, so the intelligence develops extremely quickly compared to most other animals, especially humans
