Yeh, no. That ‘have’ should be binned.

I'm assuming that's Inkr's translation? They're... Not so great, ngl. Every one I've seen is mid to bad.

Tapas has Butler now, iirc, so it's got a new translation going.

And, as much issue as I have with Tapas, their translation quality isn't one of them.

I got it when they still had it on INKR
Before they pulled it. I didn’t know how to show my proof of purchase so I took the screenshots and then the number of episodes that I had unlocked.

Like this makes me wonder if they're underpaid and over worked, or if they lost their spark to do decent work. Because we can't hear what they say. But it's also upsetting because they do get paid, and we do indirectly pay them for subpar work then...

Also, that's one of my biggest gripes. These companies wanna cry and throw a tantrum over ‘illegal translations’, but then put out official ones worse than what a mid-tier scanslator could do? 🤦😒

Back when I was much younger and didn't know better/didn't have money. I would be actually upset with the poor translations of the LEGAL works. I remember watching Naruto as it was being illegally dubbed and it was far superior to the legal dubs I saw on 'licensed' anime around. Big oof.

Oh, I still prefer fansubs, and it is almost entirely FUNimation's fault.

My Japanese comprehension is not enough that I can watch without subtitles, but it *is* enough that I can tell when the subtitles are *wrong*. 🙃

It's prolly a hold over from them reworking the sentence, but, yeh (might've been ‘have you had dinner’ initially, for example). But, yeh. It looks weird.

And that isn't excusing them, bc, as I said, Inkr's translations were/are just 🙃.
