And it's really annoying me and I have no idea how to fix it or what's caused it. But the audio just randomly goes in and out even when I'm close to the mic. This is with the gain at 12 O'clock too, because if I set it lower it's way too quiet

It's also quieter overall for no reason. I've not changed any settings in OBS at all, and I'd be hitting yellow/bottom end of red. It's now mostly in green and occasionally in yellow
There's a couple of things it can be then. Windows handles audio horribly but easiest things first, do you have that microphone running in any other apps? Is discord using it as well? If so it can affect your mic if it's confused about priority. Try closing any apps that use that mic aswell -
If that doesn't work try switching to a different USB port. Could resolve any lingering issues with device management. If that doesn't work There's a possibility the diaphragms damaged or a solders failing in the circuitry. Try it on a different computer.
It could be an OBS thing. Though I've only heard of issues like this in Linux so I wouldn't know what OBS is doing in windows to cause the issue. Have you tried recording in Reaper? See if it works there? Or Audacity/Tenacity?
Yeah it does it in Audacity and friends have noticed it over discord too, so I think it's something to do with the mic itself. It just started doing it randomly out of nowhere and I've had it for a couple years
