I see people today are rediscovering for the umpteenth time that #DavidBrooks is, as Tony #Judt repeatedly put it, a know-nothing (i.e. “blah-blah generalists—and then you’re David Brooks. And you’re garbage”; cf. https://nymag.com/news/features/64626/index1.html).

Judt wrote the below in 2012. *NOTHING* has changed.
