Yeah, Eurovision. For me it is nostalgic. When I was kiddo, all neighbors would get together to support our contestant.
Happy memories.
Right now, I like to learn about winner simply because it reflects so well the political opinion of Europeans about current issues.
The old Te Deum version still wakes in me those memories, the sentiment, the nostalgia. The moments you felt part of something bigger. Not only the festival but the sports, the jeaux sans frontiers… https://youtu.be/lMVSsSi4QQ0?si=NBL1qbATdxIrd5Y7
yep. I know what you mean. Eurovision and World Cup (even if I never cared for Football).
Just walking through neighborhood during some scheduled game and hear cheers from every window when our team scored the goal.
Happy times.
When I first saw it, it seemed to be full of amateurs who were worse than your typical high school trio. Has obviously become very professional, but the pyrotechnics drive me nuts.
Can’t wait. It’s a glorious, campy, over the top festival of the best kind and I’m here for it. Death metal ballerinas? Sure. Anarchists yodeling? Why not? Flamenco punk? How about yes! The campiest pop songs imaginable? Of course. It’s my night to put aside my usual routine and embrace it.

(Is this an exlamation of excitement? Fear? Despair? You be the judge.)
