A lot of noise about Trump replacing Jerome Powell although he does not have the actual authority to do it. What would be the protocol for getting that done if Trump tries to usurp the system? #askpreet
I've been listening to your podcast since it launched. It's been awesome. I would love you to interview Rahm Emmanuel, since he's doing the rounds and has a lot to say. He needs to be interviewed by someone who excels in the adversarial context and can also take a joke. You're the guy. #askpreet
Hi Preet. Longtime listener (now viewer) who never misses a show. I've been enjoying your conversations about the election results, but I believe there is an elephant in the room that never gets mentioned. Would Trump and the entire Maga movement be possible without Fox News and similar entities?
What are the chances my FIL, with a previous criminal conviction, will find gainful employment after prison?
Or is he destined for a life as a foreign Amassador?
What are the most vulnerable places in our democracy we should be watching most closely on Day One? The warnings about getting shocked over and over and getting numb are real. I’d like a couple of the most obvious places to train my focus on January 20th.
If we all know that Congressional Republicans have no spine so they default to cowardice AND that the Supreme Court has granted immunity AND he has put unqualified/loyal people in every cabinet position, what does paying attention even do? The system can’t even fight back now.
Preet, I’m done listening to your podcasts. The frequency with which you interrupt your guests drives me nuts. I don’t think Sam Harris completed even 50% of his sentences. I’m cancelling my subscription and unsubscribing.
What would Hunter's likely punishment have been for the crimes he was convicted of?
What's the upside in all of this for Hunter and Joe?
It seems like Joe is doing great harm to his legacy, to the party and our trust in government. Was it worthwhile to pardon to avoid short jail time, and parole?
I am all for your podcast not being an echo chamber, that said, I found many of Sam Harris’ comments dismissive, arrogant, and willfully derisive. I’m glad you called him out (on behalf of your listeners) to save me from talking back (for the remainder of the podcast) to my speaker.
At what stage will you Americans stop believing in american exceptionalism and that it cant happen here? Magical trust in institutions, which were designed by Founding Father who could not fathom fascism, will not save you from the concentration camps, when all 3 branches of gov. are run by fascists
Just listened to the interview with Sam Harris. I was disappointed with they way he used "woke" like a right wing pundit. His conflation of "identity politics," with anti-racism was equally sad. He reminds me of the guy in the middle, creating false equalities.
My question is: why have a wealthy middle aged white man on your show to declare “the end of identity politics” in, specifically, the Democratic coalition? Identity politics are alive and well in right wing politics from top to bottom. The left would be far happier to let go than our enemies.
Are there any steps the Biden administration can take to ensure an actual vetting process is followed for future cabinet appointees to prevent the absolute worst kinds of people from ruining our democracy?
I just listened to your podcast with Sam Harris and am disappointed. I think that guy is full of crap and I think you didn't do a good job directing the conversation with him.
Carrboro, NC is suing Duke Energy for damage caused by climate change, see the recent NYT article. Can this suit win? Is it a way local activists can effect changes in legislation (since voting hasn’t succeeded)?
Preet, can you explain the idea of Biden issuing pardons to preempt future retribution? When you accept a presidential pardon, aren't you acknowledging guilt? If so, how could you accept a pardon for fictitious crimes to preempt "investigation" under a political vengeance agenda?

Suppose Biden does prophylactic pardons for generals and other officials in 45 admin, members of House Jan6 committee, anyone on Kash’s hit list. Who’s saying 47, Kash, Bondi, or the MAGA Senate wouldn’t prosecute/ persecute those folks anyway? Why let a few pardons stand in the way?
Please tell Sam Harris that no, I don't need to know the race of the people involved in the subway incident to know, for sure, as a long time New Yorker, that I don't think encouraging vigilantiasm is EVER a good idea. Clearly he's not an actual New Yorker.
Harris' take on "identity politics" sounded like the garbage I hear from the right that the Left is too "woke" and all just misguided social justice warriors. He seems to against talking about systemic racism. Another sensible moderate that MLK mentioned.
Our judicial system is undergoing change, it's being politicalized at every level. What advice do you have for an average American who is faced with a MAGA police officer, prosecutor or judge?
Do you think the Trump administration could pursue new charges against Hunter Biden and get the Supreme Court to invalidate Pres Biden’s preemptive pardon?
First time, long time! Love the show. What kind of guitar do you play when you pretend to be The Boss late at night in your office when nobody is looking?
Hi Preet, Brit living in the Czech Republic here and a listener since episode 1 🙂 Why didn't Biden take action to formalise rules that were previously the"norms" that Trump swept aside in his first term. Can he do that now?
I think it’s fair to have conflicted feelings about Joe Biden pardoning his son Hunter, and not be forced into defending or criticizing it. Your thoughts?
