That reform part of the CPC is so dumb - yes they gained on popular vote - but they would have had a much higher popular vote but for Pierre. Pierre lost the election for the Cons. I don’t see how they can keep him on.
In the more hopeful timelines, we're about to see the battle for the soul of the Conservative movement in Canada - will the 'red tories' decide that they can't stomach the culture war shit and the toxicity and vengeance politics?
The question is whether it's more important to have values, or to win.
PP's played a scorched earth game, and it may have hit a ceiling in terms of how far it can reach. Do they run it back and force division, or do they try to reflect the nation?
