think you can hit crtl+f, go to zero and you'll have the same thing

I mean yeah it removes but I miss being able to very granularly control how much how quickly it would remove with both the weight and strength functions on a brush that would only remove weight and now they've reduced that by a lot since to have a brush that only removes the weight has to be 0

you can still subtract a little at a time I think, put the flow to 0 and then adjust the strength and it should work the same way, shame you can't just put the add/subtract brushes to the quick menu

so you have to weight paint by using a dual mode paint brush and adjusting the weight strength instead 😭🙃
