My earliest experience of Warhammer was "Reaper", it's sort of ancestor

A local wargames shop had overbought on the Reaper scenario, "Attack of the Fungoid Trolls", this was circa 1983

So they offered 1 for 10p, 2 for 5p to get rid of them
