Basically r$%^ is so traumatic that the brain can malfunction afterwords. Basically remember when Homer's brain phased out of his head while Ned was sharing boring facts. What happens is so crazy a real life version of that kinda occurs. The person is left operating on the opposite of auto-pilot.

The person becomes confused and may not even realized what happened until later, in fact sometimes people even think they just had normal sex (especially teens), this leads to the supposedly unusually behavior. It's lucky this even is our response since r$#@ isn't a thing in normal primate species.
