one cool thing about ARPA dropping bands from helicopters on every municipality and state programs meant i was able to flee to a dv shelter for 10ish weeks with my pets 2 years and 3 weeks ago

normally v few take pets with 6+ months to a year waitlists. the closest one was a few hundred miles

but bc their rehousing budget was so flush there was only one other person and her kid there, which the shelter paid for 10-12 months of her rent and security deposit. She also was only able to flee by squirreling away ctc and wages

Shes doing great now and I still babysit her kid occasionally.

They did the same thing with student loans. A lot of people had their debt canceled but said it wasn’t enough because of Gaza, and made the issue too toxic for anyone else to take up.

Now they will resume paying their loans.

The Biden administration was very blackpiling in a way. We should still do progressive policy but I no have very, very little faith it guarantees good electoral outcomes. Dems need to borderline propagandize it to break through (not lie!!! But just repeat ad naususem).
