Problem is that if they did this kinda thing – the "IOA thing" – you still end up with very specific IPs so when it comes time for, say, Zootopia, you still turn to another park to wedge it into. Haha.

I mean there’s little distinction between Universal’s three parks; we know this because interchangeably things from the non-studio parks show up in the international studio named parks (Potter, Spider-Man, Jurassic Park, and Mario, which isn’t even a movie!)
I know you’re right, but I will argue until my dying day that there is internal logic and a unique bar to entry for UO’s three parks. Yes the “unwritten rules” are occasionally violated, but they exist!
