I use it but it's bumpy as all hell, the crossings at side roads are at weird angles so a pain to navigate around, and it's far too narrow so it's really stressful to pass someone coming the other way.
(I'm an occasional visitor in that direction doing stuff with my preschooler, but I'd love to go ie to Notcutts or the Arboretum more regularly - I have no car and it's the route which discourages me)
Yes - it would need work beyond the Culham Campus and there's no cycle provision as far as I recall from the Clifton Hampden turn up to Notcutts. Perhaps we need more cross-country routes like the Sustrans fro Abingdon - Thrupp Lakes?
I've used it frequently, and it's terrible. When I saw Mark's initial response, I was inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. Having seen his subsequent, increasingly hostile and ill-informed posts on the thread, I see that I was wasting my time.

Even your supposedly superior anecdotal experience is ultimately irrelevant, a cyclist chooses what’s best for them.
I repeat, if the cycle lane was so brilliant, local cyclists would be flocking to use it, rather than using the road.
