The best part is that to power engineers it's painfully obvious what went wrong. Of the the three incomers to the site, it was configured in such a way that if one failed the other two would not be able to keep up. So, rightly, they closed the airport.

It seems to be a large oversight, but the idea there would not be a full investigation is utterly insane. Backup generation would only ever have been for safety critical infrastructure such as the ATC and runway lights. The full site draws far more than would be cost effective to backup.
