wear disposable gloves and a thing for your arms, rip them all out by the roots, throw them away where no one can touch them. don't burn them with fire, the oil in your lungs SUCKS
I'm skeptical about those on the left. Top: the sets of 3 leaflets are in pairs at the same height, suggesting opposite leaves; PI is alternate. Bottom: the middle leaflet stem is not noticeably longer than those of the two side leaflets - my guess would be Virginia creeper
Upper right was the only one I was positive on. Hard to see the stems on the rest, and that's how I usually differentiate it from sasparilla (the only other local plant that looks similar)
Lower left would have been the only one I felt confident about. That's what it looks like in this area of Central Texas, in my very limited experience.
Yeah. When I was a kid, my dad went to IU on sabbatical. Being a kid, I scrambled up the vines on the wall. Oops. Spent a couple of weeks in bed IIRC. I was mad because I couldn't read.
HAH i was thinking they all looked suspicious 😅 my mom is horribly allergic & a gardener so we were all EXTENSIVELY trained…like child assassins of urushiol emitters
Growing up in the East Texas Piney Woods, we used to make these forts out of pine-straw, digging little trenches... which exposed me to poison ivy roots & had to do those oatmeal baths for weeks to try to bring the itching down.
Like many commenters, I am not touching any of them. I am extremely allergic. I got some leaves up my pant leg and kind of under my sock and it turned like a 6x7 area of my ankle into one huge blister that made the urgent care NP pale.
Also that special poison ivy removing soap that’s like pumice soap mixed with paint thinner really works but you gotta basically scrub your whole body with it so you can’t accidentally get the oil passed around.
And urushiol lasts for WEEKS moving THROUGH your skin.

(Good advice in general, IDK what it is exactly 100%, don’t fucking touch it.)
DEATH TO URUSHIOL EMITTERS!
