I thought the purpose of AI was to make the world better. To solve problems humans can't solve. Not to take away humanity by replacing human music, art, writing, & performance with robots. Not to replace thinking/using your own voice with speeches and papers written by robots. Not to replace jobs.

this is correct and irrelevant, because that's not what AI does. Generative AI takes chunks of other works, throws them into a blender based on how it was informed those chunks mean, and hands you a result. It does not have its own originality or life experience with which to make something new
