Back in March, Trump said about foreign F-35 sales, “We like to tone them down about 10 percent, which probably makes sense because someday maybe they’re not our allies, right?”
Total control of spare parts & software belong to the US.
There is no widespread cancellation of Lockheed Martin sales at this time, some countries are revisiting their F-35 plans due to concerns about US-NATO relations. If you are getting your news from Occupy Democracy they are leaders in fake and misleading news. Fact check, fact check!
This is just a beginning. There is nothing which US could monopolize… our former allies used to buy US arms not because they could not produce they own… it just made sense. Not anymore.
Damn right! Why on earth would they buy our junk when they can’t trust it will function when it’s needed? As I’ve said, when you set fire to your own house, there’s no guarantee you won’t get burned.

To but this aircraft would be criminally stupid.
Trump permanently killed trust and a significant revenue source of foreign buyers for American defense industry.
That’ll significantly increases defense costs as U.S. arms dealers market share decreases.
